The compact design of the Guild OM-240CE makes it perfect for Pickings and fingerstyle, producing expressive midrange and clear treble frequencies that unfold quickly and completely thanks to a scalloped X-bracing and gauzy matte finish. A solid Sitka spruce top with tight grain enriches the tone with a bright timbre, which is given an added warmth by a laminated mahogany body. For obliging playability, the manufacturer uses a flat mahogany neck with a Slim-C profile for the OM-240, and a pau-ferro fingerboard that is easy to finger in tandem with a 43mm nut width across all 20 frets. Equipped with a compensated bridge inlay and a saddle made of bone, the instrument intonates very cleanly over the entire scale length of 648 mm, so that even the higher registers deliver a perfect sound experience. Open Guild GBB1 nickel tuners with butterbean buttons and a 16:1 ratio are embedded in the headstock and give the guitar a timeless appearance, which is completed with simple decorations in a very aesthetic way. To be able to reproduce the acoustic sound also amplified unadulterated, the manufacturer uses a Fishman Sonitone pickup system, which has a control unit in the soundhole.
