Lancer’s Lash by Shakmat Modular is a digital drum module specialising in snare drums with a wide range of sounds. Thanks to wide-ranging parameter controls and various synthesis models (Analogue, Slap, Modal, Physical, FM, Granular, Blend), the module produces snare drums that capture the sonic aesthetic of classic analogue drums whilst also offering a vast repertoire of modern snares. The range of possible sounds also includes those that one would not normally associate with the snare spectrum. The sound generation is complemented by an effects processor, which offers distortion and wave shaping as well as model-specific effects.

In addition to a total of 7 control voltage inputs for CV, trigger and velocity, Lancer’s Lash offers two internal modulation sources: Randomiser and Velocity. The Randomiser generates a different random value with every new trigger. Velocity is derived from the velocity CV input. All three can be assigned to various synthesis parameters; multiple destinations per source can also be configured. To ensure that carefully crafted sounds are not one-offs, the module offers 256 memory slots for your own sounds.
