Fine woods and detailed workmanship
For the construction of the PRS Custom 24 Faded Whale Blue the guitar builders around Paul Reed Smith only use selected woods, which lead to a perfect sound experience. Carefully selected mahogany is used for the body, while the solid curly maple top is bordered by the natural binding typical of PRS, in which the edges of the top are not stained. The glued mahogany neck with its well-shaped "Pattern Thin" profile offers the perfect balance between rich grip and smooth playability. On the ebony fingerboard, traditional bird inlays provide the best orientation between the 24 frets.

Position 2: Bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker parallel
Position 3: Bridge and neck humbucker
Position 4: split bridge humbucker and split neck humbucker parallel
Position 5: Neck humbucker
