With the xMAC mini Thunderbolt 3 Server, Sonnet offers a solution for all Mac Mini users who are technically limited in professional audio and video applications and want to expand their system. The 19" / 1U enclosure supports a full-height, full-length, single-width card, as well as a full-height, half-length card for maximum flexibility in your card selection, in addition to various Mac Mini models*. And if you install a PCIe card that includes a daughter card (or interface connector bracket), such as RME's HDSPe MADI FX card, Blackmagic Design 's DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G, and Lynx AES16e-50, you can securely mount the daughter card in the enclosure next to the main card with an included bracket, leaving the xMac 's second PCIe slot open for another card.
The two Thunderbolt 3 ports are therefore intended for the connection to the computer, and to operate up to five Thunderbolt devices via daisy chaining but also to connect a USB device or 4K display.
Convenient and straightforward, the back panel provides Ethernet, HDMI and USB-A ports, while the front provides a power-on button for your Mac and the illuminated USB-A port.
