The
Tama Starclassic Maple MR42TZS Blue and White Oyster
is a professional quality 4-piece shell set that comes with 22" bass drum, 10" and 12" tom toms and a 16" floor tom. Starting with the Maple shells, via hardware in chrome finish, up to the eye-catching wrap finish, the Tama Starclassic Maple MA42TZS shows itself professional in every detail and can score with extraordinary high quality standards. These include heads from Evans, Star Cast Mounting System, Quick-Lock Tom Brackets and cast hoops. The drum shells are made of finest maple wood, the toms are made of six layers with 5 mm thickness, the bass drum of eight layers with 7 mm thickness.
The shell hardware in the form of lugs, cast hoops and Star-Cast tom suspension is completely in chrome finish and gives the Starclassic Maple Drums a noble and exclusive appearance. All hardware parts are underlaid with rubber padding to optimize the resonance behavior of the maple shells.
Tom and Floor Tom come with Quick-Lock brackets and thus enable a particularly fast and uncomplicated assembly and disassembly. The Floor Tom feet are equipped with Air-Pockets, i.e. an air suspension, thanks to which the full resonance potential is achieved. For tuning stability, all tuning rods are equipped with Tama Hold Tight washers.
The heads for the Starclassic Maple Drums are from the Evans G2 (batter heads), G1 (resonance heads) and EQ4 (bass drum) series. They are tuned with cast zinc hoops, which, just like the rest of the shell hardware, have an excellent chrome finish. The toms are suspended vibration-free with the Star Cast Mounting System. The bass drum hoop is painted in a plain brown color, which gives the nice overall look.
