Product information - LX706 (Polished Ebony)

Roland LX706 (Polished Ebony) Digital Piano

The Roland LX706 (Polished Ebony) is a digital piano with 2x grand piano sounds, 256x polyphony and a particularly authentic playing feel. In addition to its realistic sound based on physical modelling, the LX700 Series features a sophisticated loudspeaker system and a keyboard that gives you the feel of a real grand piano in a deceptively authentic way.

Angle View

PureAcoustic Piano Modelling
The Roland PureAcoustic Piano Modelling reproduces the sound of a grand piano within digital means. Each component of the sound, from pressing the key to vibrating the string in the resonating case, is calculated and then shaped into the final sound by the engine. This results in complex sound sequences such as the varying resonance depending on the number of keys played or the pedals depressed.

2x World-Class Grand Pianos Sounds
The LX700 Series features 2x different piano sounds that complement each other perfectly. These are the sounds of a classic European grand piano with a rich, distinctive sound character and an American grand piano with a distinctly clear and bright sound.

Keyboard

Acoustic Projection System
The integrated Acoustic Projection System of the LX706 can reproduce the rich, room-filling sound of the grand piano, very detailed and engaging. This digital piano has 6x speakers that are assigned to different tasks. The powerful cabinet loudspeakers produce the full-coverage basic sound, whilst the Ambience loudspeakers installed on the top of the piano reproduce the resonance of the piano frame. Near-field speakers and tweeters reproduce sound components such as the dynamic overtones and hammer noises when the strings are struck over the keyboard.

Authentic Playing Feel
The LX706's sophisticated keyboard gives you the feeling of playing a real grand piano. It is both precise and responsive to all the elements of your touch. The intelligent design of the keys allows a natural and expressive performance. The LX706 reproduces the vibrations transmitted from the piano body to the keyboard on a grand piano, further enhancing the authentic piano experience. The keys have the feel and look of ebony and ivory and have a moisture-absorbing coating to prevent fingers from slipping when playing.

Precise Pedal Functions
The LX706's responsive damper mechanism reproduces the precise damper response of an acoustic grand piano. Half-pedal techniques are also possible.

Noble & Classic Design
The LX706 has a noble, classic design. It is available in Polished Ebony, Dark Rosewood and Charcoal. The C-shaped opening on the front additionally enables natural sound reproduction. Opening the lid allows for a brighter and clearer sound.

Additional Functions
The LX series can be controlled via Bluetooth and used as a wireless Hi-Fi system. Apps such as the Roland Piano Every Day App provide direct access to sheet music, song libraries and more. A mobile phone or tablet can be connected to the digital piano via Bluetooth and learning units can be supported by software. In addition, the LX700 series offers several integrated learning functions. A twin piano mode allows 4-handed playing with a piano teacher on the same keyboard and the integrated metronome helps to develop timing. A recording function is also integrated.
