Classically Constructed
The construction of the Sandberg Marlowe DK 4-string bass follows classical guidelines and produces an alder body, whilst the neck is made of Maple and carries a Rosewood fingerboard. The 6-fold screw connection guarantees a stable connection. The entire bass is also subjected to the Sandberg "Vibration Treatment", which results in an even resonance development and the perfect old school sound of an instrument that has been played for a long time.
Alnico V Single Coils
2x Sandberg Alnico V single coils are used as pickups on the Sandberg Marlowe DK, which create a characteristic sound at specially tuned Marlowe DK positions. The bridge pickup produces a wiry sound, whose assertive articulation makes it stand out in the band context, whilst the neck pickup lays a solid foundation for every groove with fat basses. The passive circuit, which consists of a master volume control, a master tone control and a blend potentiometer, allows different sound nuances to be called up.
Hardcore Aged
The unique Hardcore Aged finish, which is elaborately crafted, gives the Sandberg California MarloweDK the look of a bass played on stage for a long time and transforms every instrument into a unique piece.
