The Ibanez RGDIX6PB Iron Label Electric Guitar Surreal Black Burst is a 6-string model featuring a poplar burl top, an ash/mahogany body, a maple/bubinga neck, an ebony fingerboard, DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups, and a surreal black burst finish. The RGD is an ultimate metal machine built for the demands of down-tuning.

Delivering the rich, desirable thickness of tone from down-tuning, this guitar has an extended neck by one inch to a 26.5" scale. The neck is still considered fast for speed soloing. Extra-deep cutaways grant comfortable access to the highest notes. The tight grain of ebony provides a smooth, dense playing surface producing a tight low-end with a quick response needed for metal.

DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups power this guitar to produce a powerful, distinctive tone with a crisp, cutting high end, and a tight, compressed bottom end, minus any muddy mid-range.
