Nugen Paragon is an innovative reverb plug-in that combines the precision of real convolution reverbs with the flexibility of algorithmic reverb processors. Instead of relying on conventional time-stretching or upsampling, Paragon uses a new type of resynthesis technology. This makes it possible to completely recalculate 3D impulse responses of real rooms - in real time and without artifacts. The result is a natural, detailed surround sound that can also be shaped with extreme versatility.
In contrast to classic convolution reverb plug-ins, Paragon offers extensive sonic intervention options. Parameters such as decay, room size and brightness can not only be precisely adjusted, but also altered well beyond the original limits - in some cases up to five times the original value. This makes it possible to completely redefine the character and dimensions of a room without losing the natural acoustic quality.
Paragon is specially designed for modern surround and immersive formats and supports multi-channel configurations up to 7.1.2 - ideal for Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, DTS:X or Ambisonics. With channel-by-channel control of high and low-pass filters, adjustable crosstalk, LFE mode and routing options, even complex surround setups can be precisely designed. This makes Paragon suitable for music productions as well as for film, television and game audio.
Paragon's IR panel offers an intuitive visual analysis of the impulse response. Here, the frequency response can be edited directly and adapted to the desired sound. This allows unwanted resonances to be removed or specific tonal accents to be set.
Instead of thousands of static impulse responses, Paragon uses a manageable collection of intelligent "modeled IRs" that can be transformed in a versatile manner. This concept not only significantly reduces memory requirements, but also opens up almost unlimited creative possibilities - a wide variety of acoustic environments can be modeled with a single

While Paragon is designed for professional applications in film, TV, game audio and immersive formats, Paragon ST is aimed specifically at music producers and classic stereo productions. The ST version offers the same high-quality reverb algorithm and innovative resynthesis technology, but does without the extensive surround support and extended routing options. This means that Paragon ST is more resource-efficient, easier to use and perfectly suited to users who work exclusively in stereo mixes.
