RODECaster Video Core

Professional video and audio production console for streaming and content creation

With the RODECaster Video Core, RODE presents a powerful video and audio production console that has been specially developed for modern content creators, streamers, podcasters and production studios. The compact system combines a live video mixer, audio interface and streaming controller in one device and enables professional productions without complex setup structures.

The Video Core allows switching of up to four video sources,offers integrated audio editing at studio level and supports direct RTMP streaming to platforms such as YouTube Live, Twitch or Facebook Live. This makes the system ideal for live streams, video podcasts, interviews, web shows or hybrid production environments.

Thanks to the close integration with the RODECaster Pro II and RODECaster Duo, a complete AV production system can be set up that seamlessly combines video and audio production.

Videocore

Integrated audio production with studio quality

In addition to the video functions, the Video Core offers a comprehensive audio production environment. Two Neutrik combo inputs support microphones, instruments or line signals.

The integrated Revolution Studio microphone preamps deliver extremely low-noise sound and are complemented by the professional Aphex audio processor. This provides numerous tools, including EQ, compressor, Noise gate, de-esser, exciter and big bottom for powerful vocals and clear sound.

New functions for modern streaming workflows

Intelligent auto-switching for dynamic live streams

The Video Core can automatically switch cameras or scenes depending on the detected audio signal. This allows conversation situations, interviews or podcasts to be displayed dynamically without manual intervention during recording.

Direct streaming without additional software

The integrated network connection allows direct transmission to streaming platforms via the RTMP protocol. Supported platforms include YouTube Live, Twitch, Facebook Live, X Live and your own RTMP server.

Support for network and PTZ cameras

In addition to HDMI and USB sources, the Video Core also supports NDI network cameras. Up to four NDI inputs and one NDI output can be integrated via Ethernet, allowing complex production environments to be realized.

Direct recording and media playback

For flexible productions, the Video Core offers two integrated media players with 24 GB of internal memory. Videos, graphics or sound effects can be stored here.

Productions can be recorded directly via a dedicated USB-C connection for external SSDs - including ISO recording of individual video sources.

Flexible control and integration

The system can be controlled either directly via compatible RØDECaster devices or via the RØDECaster app. Additional functions are available within the software, including

  • Media control

This allows the Video Core versatile to be adapted to a wide range of production requirements.
