The Yamaha EMX-5014C is a universal power mixer that houses a powerful mixer, power amplifier, graphic equalizer and digital effects in the form of a compact, portable console. With a whopping 2x 500 watts, the EMX 5014C offers enough reserves even for larger events, yet is still very light and easy to transport thanks to the latest power amp technology. It is rack-mountable for better transportability and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
The EMX-5014C is the successor to the renowned Yamaha EMX5000-12, while offering even better audio quality and more features. 14 input channels, 2 aux paths, semi-parametric EQs, feedback locater system, easy-one knob compressors on all mono channels, phantom power, 9-band stereo graphic EQ and SPX effects are just some of the -numerous features. The design and application possibilities have also been expanded.

The mixer offers a total of 14 inputs that can be used in a variety of ways: Channels 1-6 are available as microphone or line inputs. Channels 7-10 can be used as mono mic or line inputs as well as stereo line inputs. And channels 11/12 and 13/14 are designed as stereo line inputs. It is also possible to connect external amplifiers or effects units.
The stereo channels offer RCA inputs in addition to the jack connections, so you can connect CD players or similar signal sources, for example. A 3-band equalizer can then finally be used to optimize the sound, with the EQ offering semi-parametric mids in channels 1-6. Two 9-band graphic equalizers are also available to adjust the sound to the speakers or environment.
Want to add some finishing touches to your live mix? You don't need to connect another device for that, either. The EMX5014C comes equipped with a selection of 16 premium 32-bit Yamaha SPX effects, including reverb, echo, chorus, flanger, phaser, and even distortion. You can turn the effects on or off via a footswitch. The effects of the SPX series are among the finest the market has to offer - your ears will confirm this!
All six mic/line mono channels of the EMX-5014C feature built-in compressors that help you bring vocals to the forefront of the mix, make guitars rounder and more present, or give bass more punch - in short, refine your mix in many ways. These compressors are also extremely convenient and easy to use: Forget about attack, threshold, make-up gain or other complicated parameters. A single control allows you to optimally set your desired degree of compression.
To keep EMX power mixers lightweight and portable, the power amplifiers need to be very efficient while still delivering the best possible sound quality. This is exactly the case with the EMX series: they operate efficiently, delivering high gain with low power consumption and heat loss. At the same time, they provide the highest audio quality, with excellent transient reproduction and low distortion. The output power of the EMX-5014C is an impressive 2 x 500W in the process.
The reduced weight of the Yamaha EMX-5014C does not mean reduced power at the same time. The chassis is made of an exceptionally lightweight but rugged material, while a switching power supply delivers all the clean power the system needs to output a solid 2 x 500W. And the EMX-5014C weighs just 10.5 kilograms - considerably less than earlier models. Comfortable transport handles are mounted at the bottom of the mixer for improved handling and portability.
Yamaha EMX5014C Powered Mixer Its typical console type power mixer. I am using it in my community service. The sound quality is good and easy to handle. 500W output power is enough. Sometime the channel and AUX numbers are insufficient and another sub-mixer is required. However, to make the basic setting for PA, I think this is still a good choice.
