This is a great guitar for the money! No frills such as edge binding but 490 and 498 pickups with coil tap, normal tuners not that auto tune system that damaged Gibson’s reputation so much in 2016, and an acceptable finish to the guitar, without being premium quilt top make this guitar an absolute bargain. Add to that a deluxe case and you will be delighted to buy one. Not a high output guitar but it sounds like a real Les Paul, the tuning is stable, and with a slim neck and generously wide fretboard, the playability is surprisingly good straight from the box! A little time spent setting up will make it a very nice guitar indeed. Mine has a very slightly proud standing seam along the back of the body which doesn’t present any problem at all, it’s certainly worth considering when thinking of a Gibson Les Paul.
My first Gibson Les Paul, always wanted a studio, always wanted a red one.
Till now everything good.
Fretboard seems to need a bit of lemon oil and somehow the owners manual came only in Japanese (?), but for the moment I can't complain.
The case is a highlight.
