Loudness Tools RTW is a plugin or optionally stand-alone software of the upper class and serves as an analysis tool for loudness and metering. Thanks to its possible usability even without host software, it is aimed at musicians, radio producers, sound and video technicians who often have to comply with the application specifications of their clients and would therefore be too inflexible with pure plug-ins.
Thanks to its intuitive operation, Loudness Tools is easily accessible not only to professionals, but also to users without background knowledge. Hobbyists in particular, but also many professionals, often underestimate the importance of such a measuring instrument, which, for example, makes overdriving visible and shows the user if too high a loudness endangers the dynamic sound bandwidth of your mix. An analysis tool for metering is therefore just as important for a producer as the altimeter for a pilot.
The Loudness Tools analysis tool provides displays for loudness signal level measurements for mono, stereo, multi-channel and surround applications with a maximum of eight channels. It supports standard sampling rates up to 96 kHz including all commonly used PPM and TruePeak measurements and scales.
The following instruments are included:
- PPM (TP and PPM Digital): PPM and TruePeak meters for 8 channels with different scales (TP60, Dig60, ARD, Nordic, BR IIa, Zoom ). Optional bar and/or numerical display.
- Loudness Sum: Loudness sum instrument for the display of bar graphs of the loudness sums M, S or I according to EBU R128, ITU BS.1770-4/1771-1, ARIB, ATSC A/85, OP-59, AGCOM, CALM Act or user-defined.
- Loudness Num: Numerical display of the loudness sums M, S or I, loudness range (LRA), maximum values TPmax, Mmax and Smax as well as measurement time Itime of the measurements according to EBU R128, ITU BS.1770-4/1771-1, ARIB, ATSC A/85, OP-59, AGCOM, CALM Act or customer-specific
- Loudness Range (LRA): Instrument for loudness range LRA with MagicLRA mode for illustrating volume deviations. The colour markings are freely adjustable.
- Correlator: Measures the phase relationships between stereo channels.
The user interface comes with six selectable window frames (landscape or portrait). In particular, the freely adjustable display window allows tailor-made positioning of the supplied instruments. All settings, arrangements and presets can be saved.
With the RTW Loudness Tools you get the functions of the award-winning TM7 and TM9 PPM measuring instruments and their Loudness licenses. They thus provide the same level of functionality and clarity as the hardware models. The measuring instrument can be freely arranged and scaled. Numerous function parameters offer you further flexibility. If you are not yet convinced, the software manufacturer RTW also offers a fourteen-day free trial period of all Masterclass plug-ins on its website. See for yourself how easy and precise metering is with this plugin.
