An attractively priced bundle comprising the 7U Case and the 7U Backpack from Befaco. – Perfect protection for your 7U Case right from day one!
The 7U Case from Befaco is a compact Eurorack modular system enclosure with a flexible 1U row and plenty of power. With two rows of 104 TE each, the Case offers space for 3U modules, as well as an additional row for 1U modules in Intellijel format. The 1U row can be mounted either at the top or in the centre. The two bus boards are powered via the external 120W power supply and provide +12 V: 5000 mA / -12 V: 2500 mA / 5 V: 4000 mA; there are 36 connectors for modules. The maximum installation depth is 53 mm above the power supply and 70 mm at all other points. On the rear panel there are numerous connections for audio, MIDI and USB. Six 6.3 mm mono jack sockets can be used in pairs in combination with audio interfaces such as, for example, Mixup, 1U XFade, 1U Stereo Out, 1U Pedal I/O or 1U Out. With the 1U XY IO, for example, you could feed control voltages from Moogerfooger pedals into the case. The MIDI Trio and the USB B port provide a connection to an installed MIDI interface such as the 1U MIDI. An Intellijel-Bus-compatible sequencer can also communicate with other equipment via these ports. The two USB charging ports benefit from the high current of 4000mA on the 5V line; this allows you to charge a smartphone or power two desktop devices without any problems. On the underside of the 7U case, there are drill holes for mounting a VESA 100 bracket. For users who are chronically short of space on their desk, this is a very convenient solution. The package includes a transparent cover that protects the case from dust whilst it is wired up and safeguards it during transport.
To complement the 1U series, we offer various modules in the appropriate format. This practical format is designed for users who wish to keep their Eurorack modular system compact. As well as secondary functions such as multipliers and various tools, the range also includes oscillators, envelopes and other core functions. > Click here for the 1U modules <
