The Doepfer A-155-2 Miniature analog sequencer at a glance
The A-155-2 from Doepfer is a very compact analog sequencer with powerful features. The sequencer offers a sequence length of 1-8 steps including a programmable gate. If required, the set steps can be provided with ratcheting, which triggers a 2-, 3- or 4-fold multiple trigger per step in the cycle time of a normal Gates. The 8 playback directions cover the common directions upwards, downwards, random and different pendulum variations. The A-155-2 sequencer has 8 presets in which set gates, running direction, sequence length and Ratcheting are stored. The CV output is not quantized, which is useful for controlling parameters. If you want to play tonal oscillators with the A-155-2, we recommend using a quantizer. The module does not have a built-in clock generator. The tempo is controlled externally via the clock input; this can be the clock signal from the MIDI-to-CV/gate interface or an LFO with a square waveform. The Reset resets the sequencer to step 1.
