Furthermore, the ESP LTD Eclipse 401FR convinces with a classic mahogany construction and high playing comfort.
For the ESP LTD EC-401FR Black ESP uses the classic construction for singlecut electric guitar, which promises a powerful basic sound for pushing riffs and singing solos. Accordingly, the body and the glued neck are made of mahogany, while the fretboard is made of rosewood. The fast "Thin U"-profile of the neck offers the perfect race track for breathtaking riffs and solos at light speed, whereby ESP flag inlays provide the best orientation between the 24 extra jumbo frets.
The electric tone conversion of the ESP LTD EC-401FR Black is done by two active EMG humbuckers, which offer the perfect basis for brute metal sounds with their tight reproduction. The legendary EMG 81 on the bridge stands out in particular, which whips riffs and licks through the band sound with focused mids and biting highs, even during extreme drop-tunings. The EMG 60 on the neck, on the other hand, works more moderately and perfectly stages singing solos with astonishingly brilliant, yet warm sound. But the EMGs can also fully convince on the clean amplifier, where they bring melodies and chords to life with transparent reproduction and excellent string separation.
Another special feature is the Floyd Rose Special Tremolo of the ESP LTD EC-401FR Black, which is rarely used on singlecut designs. Thanks to its double locking construction, it can easily handle even the most aggressive Whammy Bar actions without detuning the guitar, no matter if Dive Bomb or screeching squeals.
