The Genelec 8351 BP studio monitor from the SAM series combines the advantages of a high-resolution 3-way system with a low cut-off frequency that enables precise and linear output of even the lowest tones. Automatic calibration and control is performed by the GLM software, which uses up to 20 integrated DSP filters to compensate for the surround sound and ensure a balanced, transparent sound image. The optimised coaxial driver, with midrange and tweeter on the same acoustic axis, produces a pinpoint sound source that is also ideal for close listening distances and demanding monitoring environments. The entire front is taken up by a large DCW sound guide, which provides a wide listening zone and radiates the sound linearly and without colouration, even when positioned sideways.
Two oval woofers provide excellent directivity down to the lower frequencies and optimally complement the transparent sound image. The power amplifiers for the woofer, midrange and tweeter together deliver 550 watts in Class D technology, making the 8351 BP a powerful and precise tool in the studio. With a sound pressure level of up to 113 dB, this monitor is also suitable for demanding working environments and enablesfatigue-free, analytical work. The 8351 BP can be operated horizontally or vertically and can be combined with the Genelec 7370 or 7380 subwoofers. The connections include XLR-In and Out for both analogue and digital signals as well as twoRJ45ports for network connection.
