With the Music Man BFR StingRay Special 5 EB Kinetic Blue 5-string electric bass, the company from San Luis Obispo presents a strictly limited Ball Family Reserve Edition of the popular StingRay 5, boasting a particularly clean look thanks to the Kinetic Blue finish and the absence of a pickguard. The body of this five-string is made of carefully selected hardwood, the five-piece bolt-on maple neck offers excellent playability right up to the 22nd stainless steel fret of the ebony fingerboard. An extremely powerful Music Man neodymium humbucker, whose coils can be called up in different circuits by means of a 3-way switch, and the 3-band EQ fed with 18 volts promise particularly versatile bass sounds with an ever-present StingRay character. Naturally, a Music Man top-load bridge made of steel and precise Music Man lightweight tuners make up the hardware section of the Music Man BFR StingRay Special 5 EB Kinetic Blue.
By dispensing with the pickguard and the rear-mounted electronics, the Music Man BFR StingRay Special 5 EB Kinetic Blue offers a cleaner look.
