The Paiste PST7 Heavy Crash 16" crash cymbal, made from CuSn8 bronze, with a heavy gauge, and traditional finish. Paiste Sound Technology stands for first-class manufactured cymbals and high quality sound design at an affordable price. PST7 adds an affordable line for drummers who like a traditional sound, look and feel. PST7’s base is a CuSn8 bronze alloy which stems from the legendary 2002 series. The cymbals are lathed by Paiste's Swiss hand craftsmen to achieve their distinctive traditional look and finish. The result of Paiste’s precise Swiss manufacturing is a warm and clear overall sound and light/thin, gauge, as well as a bright warm powerful sound. The Paiste PST7 Heavy Crash 16" features a medium wide range, and clean mix. This cymbal has a fairly heavy feel, and explosive attack, creating a strong, rich crash sound, well suited for classic rock and other loud music applications.
Paiste PST7 Heavy Crash 16" I am happy with it in my set. When I started using it I immediately had the feeling that the sound is very good for the price. I think that even if I will buy another crash in the future, I'll keep it in my drum-set.
I have been using this cymbal for metal for just under 1 year now. It sounds amazing and there is not even a single crack on it. I cant think of any cons... really.
For the price you can't beat this crash cymbal. OK it's never going to be a top of the range cymbal but for the beginner or intermediate drummer looking for an inexpensive upgrade this is the ticket.
