The Tama Starclassic Maple MA42TZS Molten Electric Blue Burst is a professional quality 4-piece shell set and comes with 22" bass drum, 10" and 12" tom toms and a 16" floor tom. Starting with the Maple Shells, over hardware in chrome finish, up to the eye-catching high gloss paint, the Tama Starclassic Maple MA42TZS Shell Set presents itself professional in every detail and can score with extraordinary high quality standards. These include heads from Evans, Star Cast Mounting System, Quick-Lock Tom Brackets and cast iron hoops. The drum shells are made of finest maple wood, the toms are made of six layers of 5 mm thickness, the bass drum of eight layers of 7 mm thickness.

The heads for the Starclassic Maple Drums are taken from the Evans G2 (batter heads), G1 (resonance heads) and EQ4 (bass drum) series. They are tuned with cast zinc hoops, which, just like the rest of the shell hardware, have an excellent chrome finish. The toms are suspended vibration-free with the Star Cast Mounting System. The bass drum are painted in a plain brown color, which rounds off the overall look.
The shell hardware in the form of lugs, cast hoops and Star-Cast tom suspension is completely in chrome finish and gives the Starclassic Maple Drums a noble and exclusive appearance. All hardware parts are underlaid with rubber buffers to optimize the resonance behavior of the maple shells.
Tom and Floor Tom come with Quick-Lock brackets and thus enable a particularly fast and uncomplicated assembly and disassembly. The Floor Tom feet are equipped with Air-Pockets, i.e. an air suspension, thanks to which the full resonance potential is exploited. For tuning stability, all tension rods are equipped with Tama Hold Tight washers.
