Product information - Gibson J-45 HCS Standard 2019

Solid round shoulder dreadnought with Sitka spruce top, mahogany body, L.R. Baggs VTC pickup and case

Orville Gibson recognized early on that solid and curved wood had enormous resonance properties. So he created a new family of guitars that quickly became one of the most popular instruments of their kind. The J-45 was first introduced in 1942. Thanks to her large dynamic range with warm mids and powerful bass, she soon became a popular "workhorse". That's the nickname that came into being.

Equipped with solid mahogany frames and base, in combination with a solid Sitk spruce top, this classic produces warm and assertive mids paired with fine silvery highs and balanced bass. Not for nothing does the J-45 enjoy great popularity with bluesers and fingerstylers. Several bindings in the ceiling and floor areas give the Gibson J-45 HCS Standard 2019 body clear contours and an elegant appearance.

A compensated bridge inlay made of Graph Tech TUSQ ensures clean intonation and flat string position, while the Grover Rotomatic tuners ensure precise tuning and tuning stability.

The Gibson J-45 HCS Standard 2019 comes with an active L.R. Baggs VTC system, which is characterized by fidelity and high dynamic range. Two rotary potentiometers at the sound hole control the volume and tone. Recordings or amplification in live situations are child's play and make the J-45 the ideal companion on stage and in the studio.
