The Music Man BFR Bongo 6 Grabber Green presents itself as a strictly limited model of the Ball Family Reserve, not only with an elegant Finish and beautiful custom appointments, but also with carefully selected tonewoods. The 6-string bass also convinces with comfortable playing characteristics and versatile bass sounds, which make it the ideal all-rounder for almost every genre.
For the bongo design, which was created in cooperation with BMW Designworks, Music Man naturally relies on first-class tonewoods. Accordingly, the body is crafted from basswood, with the distinctive shape promising optimal balance on the strap and thigh. With its silky satin finish, the bolt-on neck made of toasted curly maple also offers the best playing characteristics, so that every groove comes off the fingers with ease on the premium bound rosewood fingerboard.
With two powerful Music Man neodymium humbuckers, the BFR Bongo 6 delivers versatile bass sounds for almost any style of music. The pickups accurately reproduce every note from the low B to the high C string, so that finely articulated solo lines are just as skillfully realized as fat grooves or crisp slaps and pops. For precise adjustment of the tone, the six-string also comes with an active 4-band EQ, which promises an enormous headroom for a clean sound experience thanks to 18 volts of operating voltage.
Naturally, the BFR Bongo 6 Grabber Green from Music Man comes with indestructible hardware. The all-steel Music Man Standard bass bridge not only guarantees the optimal adjustment of intonation and string action, but also supports the even sound of the electric bass. At the opposite end of the neck, a nut with compensated string rests promises a clean display of the strings played empty. Lightweight Music Man bass machine heads also ensure accurate and stable tuning of the 6-string electric bass.
