With the PRS SE Santana Standard 2017 Antique White Paul Reed Smith presents a Carlos Santana Signature electric guitar with a high playing comfort and fat sound. The electric guitar not only offers a full mahogany construction with a glued"wide fat" neck, but also two PRS SE 245 humbuckers for powerful sounds between blues and rock. The equipment is completed by the typical PRS tremolo and PRS tuners.
For the construction of the PRS SE Santanana Standard, Paul Reed Smith uses classic ingredients and makes the body and glued neck in mahogany, while the fretboard is rosewood and carries the typical PRS Bird inlays. With the combination of a shortened 24.5" scale length (622 mm) and the pleasantly rounded "Wide Fat" profile, the electric guitar also offers a high level of playing comfort.
The electrical tone conversion of the PRS SE Standard Antique White is done by a PRS SE 245 Bass Humbucker on the neck and a PRS SE 245 Treble Humbucker on the bridge. With them, the electric guitar on the amplifier delivers a wide range of classically colored blues and rock sounds that are equally suitable for endlessly singing lead sounds and fat riffs. But also in the clean channel both pickups can fully convince, where they present finely resolved chords and harmonically sparkling melodies. The humbuckers are controlled by 3-way toggle switches and master volume and master tone controls.
Of course, the PRS SE Santana Standard is equipped with high-quality hardware designed in-house. Accordingly, the proven PRS Designed Tremolo sits on the body, which invites with its smooth handling to decorate melodies and chords with shimmering modulations. To keep the electric guitar in the right tuning, precise PRS tuners sit on the top bar.
