Those who appreciate the traditional Gypsy Jazz sound of the 30s a la Django Reinhardt will find the characteristic tone and charm of " Jazz Manouche " in the APC JM 100. Thanks to its solid spruce top and Sapele body , this gypsy jazz guitar transports a surprising amount of volume, with assertive mids and highs and an extremely direct attack.
The Lyra Special tuners keep the guitar in tune and operate smoothly. The mahogany neck with Blackwood fretboard fits comfortably in the hand and provides excellent playability.
The product arrived very well packed and cared for. The only issue needed was to change chords, and it was ready to play!
The sound does resemble an intro gypsy jazz guitar , as well as the play style. The neck is slim enough to make it easy for players to move up and down the fretboard, the finish is excellent, giving it a very professional look, and the sound although not quite fully jazzy, makes up for its loudness. I definitely recommend getting this guitar if you would like to get into the gypsy/manouche play style.
APC is a genius! The sound and playability of this guitar at this price point is unbelievable. I've played Gitane's and Eastman's 5xs this price and this guitar blows them away!
The sound is really good and the playability is perfect. Although it is visible that the manufacturer tried to cut the price of the guitar to be cheaper: a bit of rough frets and not entirely finished string mount, the string action to fret thickness is not fixed. But the wood is great and has a great feel to the touch and as well the guitar is pleasant to the eye to look at.
