00-15E Retro (Mahogany Burst)

Martin Guitars 00-15E Retro (Mahogany Burst) Electro-Acoustic Guitar

The Martin Guitars 00-15E Retro (Mahogany Burst) is ideal for finger pickers and Blues players. This guitar features impressive first-class craftsmanship and world-renowned tone woods, which are essential to the legendary Martin sound. The 00-15 Retro is the first 00-14 Fret instrument in the successful Retro product family.

The 00-15 Retro features a solid Mahogany body, producing an extremely warm and punchy sound. The prominent mid frequencies are especially useful when playing with a full band, ensuring the guitar is defined and not lost in the mix. Soft playability as well as top notch mechanics are only to be expected from Martin and of course come as standard on the 00-15 Retro. The guitar also comes fitted with a Fishman F1 Aura System which delivers amazingly natural and dynamic sounds unlike any other pick-up system. The 00-15 Retro also features vintage good looks with a classic burst finish which is distinctive and authentic of guitars from the 20’s and 30’s.

About the Manufacturer Martin:
In 1833 the company CF Martin & Co was founded by the German emigrant Christian Friedrich Martin. Martin Guitars specializes in the production of high quality guitars and is based in Nazareth Pennsylvania, USA. The revolutionary X-Bracing method which provides the stability and load-bearing capacity essential for the construction of acoustic guitars was developed and perfected by CF Martin in the 1840s. Today the X-Bracing pattern is still considered one of the best and is the most widely used method in the construction of acoustic guitars. In 1916, Martin also invented the most famous acoustic guitar form: the Dreadnought. This guitar shape would go on to revolutionize acoustic guitar building and even to this day no other guitar design produces such a balanced and punchy sound.
