The Soulsby Atmegatron Complete is a 8-bit monophonic synthesizer built on a Atmel 328P processor and programmed on the open source, Arduino software platform.
The Atmegatron is capable of reproducing sounds from Chiptune systems from the 1980’s, from square leads, filthy basses and glitchy bit-crushed sounds, the Atmegatron brings sounds from the past right into the future.
The Atmegatron is based on wavetable pulse width modulation synthesis engine; the synth architecture includes a single LFO with two envelope generators; filter cutoff, filter resonance, filter envelope, filter LFO, amplitude LFO, distortion level, pitch envelope, pitch LFO, pulse width LFO and phase LFO controls are all onboard and further increase the sound shaping possibilities, an analogue bass boost is also included.
The Atmegatron features a quick and logical menu and control format, perfect for cycling through sounds, waveshapes and filter modes quickly.
The synth is housed in a rugged aluminum chassis and finished with incredibly tasteful walnut side panels.
