The Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive is a hard-hitting distortion pedal for bass guitars, perfectly suited to styles such as thrash metal, hard rock and punk. This pedal houses a Low/High EQ knob, is buffered bypass, and can be powered by either a 9V adaptor or battery.

Even in it's lighter setting, it has kind of a rough/agressive sound, and I mean that in the best possible way. Though I love playing with it, in a recording setting It sounds a LOT better when miking a cabinet (or a cabinet simulator), when heard direct, all that roughness becomes noise.
With my 5 string bass, i can accomplish my long-time dream of opening a demolition company, it responds very well to a low-b or even an A!
