DigiTech GSP 1101 I have one of these, with the corresponding control 2 floorpedal. It is the firs modeller preamp ive had that responds to dynamics. Ive had lots of other modellers in the past, i have sold them all because they sounded like plastic to me. I was so surprised with this one that i decided to keep it. The quality of the preamps is very, very good.
I use it mainly for recording, it does a pretty nice job. The 5150 simulation is so damn close!! The other ones are close as well, and sound good. But i use it also connected to a tube amp in a 4-cable scheme, and it responds very well. In the 4CM scheme, no other modeller comes close. You can control other devices via its extensive midi capabilities.
It is powerful, with two DNA2 chips you can have delay and reverb spillover when changing patches (great for live use). You have extensive I/O capabilities, so you wont miss anything. The effects are good and very usable. It is reliable and rugged enough to gig with it.
