Electro acoustic guitar, LG construction, all solid, Sitka spruce top, mahogany body, 628,6 mm scale length, pickup system, including case
This replica of the popular LG-2 from Gibson is a practical electro acoustic guitar in the style of the 1950s using the best materials and features. An all solid construction consisting of a Sitka spruce top and a mahogany body produces a warm and rich tone especially suitable for blues picking and folk music. Thanks to a rather short mahogany neck the Gibson '50s LG-2 AN acoustic guitar can be played with all 20 frets of the rosewood fretboard. In combination with a generous 43.8 mm nut width and Historic-V-Profile the Gibson '50s LG-2 AN offers an incomparable feel. The thin nitro lacquer in Antique-Natural finish creates a fine interaction between the woods used, the Tortoise pickguard and the precise nickel tuners and gives the guitar the unmistakable charm of the 50s in a most aesthetic way. A L.R. Baggs VTC pickup system, providing a very natural acoustic sound that can be controlled via a volume and tone pot, is mounted in the sound hole rounding off the instrument. The Gibson '50s LG-2 AN comes in a custom-fit Gibson case.
The Gibson '50s LG-2 AN conveys the true vintage feel of the 1950s.
Great looking guitar and feel and sound. Though not the sunburst one I would really have wanted. There was a 600 or more difference between the sunburst and natural. Construction and materials all the same.
Guitar came from Germany and not the UK. Even though I thought I was purchasing from the UK. But over all experience no problems.
