Acoustic guitar in jumbo construction with solid Sitka-spruce top and arched laminated mahogany back.
With the Guild F-240E, the traditional US manufacturer presents a partially solid jumbo Western guitar that convinces with its full-bodied sound and classic appearance.
Woods and hardware
An arched back made of laminated mahogany creates a full-range sound that is perfectly complemented by the bright frequencies of a solid Sitka spruce top. This makes the instrument perfect for expressive strumming and vocal accompaniment. Obliging playability is provided by a flat mahogany neck with a pau-ferro fingerboard marked with mother-of-pearldot inlays at the most important of the 20 frets, allowing the player to orient himself effortlessly. The classic Guild headstock is fitted with open nickel tuners for easy tuning of the 6 steel strings, which intonate throughout the 648 mm scale length thanks to a compensated bridge inlay and bone nut.
Pickup
In addition, the Guild F-240E acoustic guitar is equipped with a high-quality Fishman AP-1 pickup system, which can reproduce the acoustic sound of the guitar in a very natural way, even when amplified. The instrument is rounded off by a generous tortoise pickguard and a premium matte finish that subtly emphasizes the fine grain of the woods.
