Mapex Armory six-piece maple/birch drum set
The Mapex Armory Shell Set AR728XCJG Ocean Sunset with chrome hardware is a six-piece drum set as limited edition. The special features are the three rack toms and the noble finish in the color Ocean Sunset. The hybrid shells made of birch and maple impress with warm projection and defined attack as well as sensitive dynamics. Other professional features of theMapex Armory Shell Set AR728XCJG are the SONIClear bearing edges and the suspension system, which allows unhindered resonance of the shells and easy tuning, especially atlow frequencies.
Mapex Armory: Hybrid shells
The basis of the Armory series are the hybrid shells made of birch and maple. Due to the arrangement of the woods (outer and inner layers of birch, maple in between) the Armory drums develop an extraordinary resonance and a strong punch. The shells respond very quickly and sensitively and allow a dynamic playing style.
SONIClear bearing edge
The SONIClear bearing edge is another new feature of the Mapex Armory drums. The strongly rounded edge provides an increased head-to-head contact, which makes the shell more tonally responsible and emphasizes the natural sound of shell and wood. In addition, the tuning of the Armory shells is made much easier by the edge, especially the low frequencies are more present in the sound.
SONIClear Suspension System
The tom suspension of the Armory drums was borrowed from the much more expensive Saturn IV series and ensures unrestricted resonance development of the shell. In addition, the force generated when hitting the head is held in the shell and not dissipated through the hardware. The spring-loaded floor tom legs of the Armory drums have the same task.
