With the Gibson SG Special 2017 T the Gibson USA Factory aus Nashville presents Tennessee a modern interpretation of the double horned Rock legend. Based on the proven construction with body and glued mahogany neck, the electric guitar offers high playing comfort over the two octaves of the 24-flush fingerboard, while two Gibson 490 Humbucker on the amplifier provide powerful humbucker sounds.
In terms of construction, the guitar builders of the Nashville Gibson SG Special 2017 T follow the 1961 specifications and manufacture the body and the glued neck from mahogany, while the fingerboard is made from Palisander mahogany. Accordingly, the electric guitar has a directly appealing basic sound with warm sound development, which is perfect for Blues and Rock . A special feature here are the 24 frets of the fingerboard, which offer a full two octaves tonal range and thanks to the slim " Slim Taper " profile can be easily achieved when playing the electric guitar.
The Gibson SG Special 2017 T is equipped with one o 490R Humbucker n the Gibson neck and one on 490T Humbucker the Gibson bridge for electrical sound conversion. Through the combination of moderate output and Alnico II magnets, the pickups on the amplifier deliver a contemporary defined Humbucker sound, whose airy response and warm sound development let the relationship with the legendary PAFs of the golden era shine through. The pickups are controlled classically via a 3-way switch and individual volume and tone controls.
The Gibson SG Special 2017 T completes the high-quality Hardware equipment, which bridges the gap between classic and modern, with a combination of Aluminium Stopbar and Tune -O-Matic bridge allow a perfect adjustment of intonation and string position. From here, the strings first hit the Tektoid saddle after 24.75" scale length (628 mm), before they find their final hold on the Vintage Style Keystone tuners, which combine classical optics with high tuning stability.
