The Kemper Profiler Stage (Black) is an amalgamation of the state-of-the-art Kemper Head Amp Modeller and the Profiler Remote controller, presented in a single robust unit. Created in response to requests from Profiler users, the Profiler Stage is an ultimate solution to safely and conveniently perform using world-class amplifier profiling technology and effects, fully integrated into a stage focused system.
The user interface of the Kemper Profiler Stage provides depth whilst retaining a straightforward work flow. Hundreds of the most carefully replicated Amps, Stomps, and Studio FX await the player in the Profiler Stage's stock libraries, with more available through their rig manager software or via 3rd party creators online, testimony to the community of musicians that has flourished around the Kemper lines.
The Profiler Stage includes an on-board Looper, which can record, overdub and delete directly from the interface. 30 seconds of Loop time is available at full speed, with 60 seconds allocated at half-speed. Various editing options are also available to tailor your Loops to taste.
Vital to the success of such a versatile product is the reliability and method of conveying information. The display of the Profiler Stage has been specially designed to ensure you can see exactly what is happening at any given time, and in any environment. This illuminated display is sunlight-proof, meaning that summer festival stages offer no more trouble than dark cellar bars.
Once standing in front of the Profiler Stage, 5x soft-touch switches on the face allow direct access to any different Rigs that have been pre-loaded. Tap a switch to select the corresponding Rig, a second tap used to trigger morphing. Very complex Guitar Amplifier/Effect set-ups are possible using the Profiler Stage, including fluid transitions between structures during the same song. This allows the performer to concentrate on their delivery without worrying about frantically selecting multiple parameters at the vital moment.
Connectivity is also effortlessly handled - 4x expression pedals can be added to the Profiler Stage, and used to control parameters, alongside external switches which embellish the functionality of the Looper function. Stereo Monitor Outputs are available to drive 2x full range or standard Guitar Cabinets, independent from the direct stereo feed. Finally, 2x stereo effect loops (with stereo returns) grant the connection of pedals or outboard effect units.

After a lot of research I've 'gone Kemper'. For me it's more intuitive and simpler to get great sounds than Helix or Axe FX. It's a personal choice - all three products will give you great sounds. I had realised that all my recent sessions and gigs have been on ear-monitors and I've not been enjoying the sound of my valve amp cranked up behind me. I hear the sound in my ears, but the amp is always hidden off stage to keep the stage volume down. It's a lot of effort to cart around for minimal gain (no pun intended). I can now get great profiles of my Mesa Boogie Mark V and they sound GREAT. It's not the same as the feel of a huge 4X12, but on in-ears it's pretty close. My advice is go for Kemper - you won't be disappointed - and the Kemper stage is cheaper than the head/controller option and very simple to build into a touring pedalboard. Don't forget to order a Mission expression pedal too.
