The
HiPass
module from
Shakmat
is an active crossover for critical frequencies. The two filter units have the same design, but differ in their working range. The upper unit removes humming, rumbling and other low frequency noise up to 30 Hz, the lower unit starts at 100 Hz and is more suitable for FM or violent resonances. Both ranges clean up and defuse the signal very well. All frequencies above 30 Hz or 100 Hz are let through.
Shakmat Modular HiPassUsually try to buy second hand, but no one is selling these - they must be all in heavy use! I use to cut out the low end rubbish from a couple of lead sounds, and to hipass the whole mix from my eurorack case. Works very well and I can hear the difference. It is possible to clip the signal with very high volumes, but I haven' t found this a problem.
