The De Gregorio Fenix de Luxe Cajon is an upper class model of the Spanish Cajon builders and offers rich sound as well as fine woods. The 9mm thick body is made of solid Sipo mahogany using modern CNC technology. Here the classic tonewood provides a unique sound. The multi-layered playing surface is made of birch and rounded off by a veneer of noble olive ash, which gives the sound particularly clear treble. The steel snare strings can be tuned independently and thanks to the "Removable Snare System" they can be completely removed if necessary.
