The Fender Dual-Mag II single coils used in the Limited Edition Dual-Mag II Strat Heavy Relic Aged Olympic White over 3-Color Sunburst are the logical evolution of the popular Dual-Mags with additional coil windings and impress with their balanced sound across all six strings. For this, both single coils rely on different Alnico mixtures: From the low E-string to the G-string, Alnico V magnets provide classically warm sounds, while the use of beveled Alnico II pole pieces for the B- and E-string ensure a smooth transition from the low registers to the high registers.
The special wiring of the Fender Limited Edition Dual-Mag II Strat Heavy Relic Aged expands the classic Strat sound with some additional tone options and useful features. Accordingly, thanks to the Half Blender Wiring, the neck pickup can also be combined with the pickups in the bridge and middle positions in switching positions 1 and 2, so that even Tele-like sounds can be realized with this Strat without any problems. Furthermore, a Tone Saver Treble Bleed Circuit is used, which allows roll-offs of the volume control without loss of treble in the signal.
In addition to its functional features and powerful tone, the Fender Limited Edition Dual-Mag II Strat Heavy Relic also has a lot to offer for the eye. A classic 3-Color Sunburst with overpainted Olympic White Color over Color nitrocellulose finish gives this Strat the incomparable charm of traditional Mod Strats and rounds off the appearance with a coherent Heavy Relic treatment.
