The most striking feature of the Mic Pre is its green eye, the so-called "Magic Eye", that indicates the output level. When the eye is almost closed, the optimum output level has been reached. On the front is the very high impedance instrument input with 2M Ohm that also works with unbalanced signals. When a jack plug is plugged in, the rear microphone input jack turns off automatically. There is also a gain control with a maximum gain of 70 dB, a 20dB pad and a switch for the 48V phantom power. The "Colour" button produces a tube-like sound by adding whole harmonics to the original sound.
