With the PRS SE Ed Sheeran Cosmic Splash Limited Edition, PRS presents a limited signature model that combines Ed Sheeran's musical signature with his passion for art: The guitar is conceptually based on an SE hollow-body I piezo Baritone and is limited to 1,000 pieces worldwide. Visually, the instrument makes a clear statement with its eye-catching "Cosmic Splash" finish, which has been realized as a wrap in the style of Ed Sheeran's "2025 Cosmic Carpark" paintings. The inlay design, which pays homage to an upcoming album series with media button symbols such as play, pause, rewind, fast-forward and stop - including an additional play symbol on the Trussrod cover- also fits in with this. In terms of sound, the guitar combines two worlds: The PRS/LR Baggs piezo pickup system in conjunction with the PRS Adjustable Stoptail Piezo Bridge enables authentic acoustic textures and can be mixed versatile with the magnetic PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers, which are designed for clarity and extended bass and treble response. The setup is controlled via magnetic volume, piezo volume, tone control and a 3-way toggle switch. With its 27.7" baritone scale and factory baritone tuning (B-E-A-D-F#-B) including PRS Classic string set (.014-.068), the Limited Edition is aimed particularly at players looking for deep tunings, hybrid sounds and an unusual design. The package is rounded off with a signed 8" x 8" print of the corresponding Cosmic Carpark artwork and a PRS SE gig bag.
