The Tama S.L.P. Snare 14"x6" LGM146G in Figured Vintage Maple Gloss Finish is a high quality snare drum from the famous Tama S.L.P. series. Consisting of 11 layers of maple and an outer layer of grained maple, the kettle has a total thickness of 10mm. Maple is one of the most popular woods for snare drums and not without reason. A warm and voluminous sound, which is very dry and assertive thanks to the massive boiler, can cover a wide spectrum of musical styles. The Evans G1 skins are held by triple flanged Tama Mighty Hoops which, together with Tamas Low Mass Clamping Brackets from the Starclassic series, give the kettle plenty of room to swing. This snare is rounded off by a 20-spiral Starclassic snare carpet, which is tensioned via linear drive lift-off.
