The 2hp Comb Black is a filter module for modular synthesisers in Eurorack format. The module functions as an IIR peaking comb filter and as an attenuation filter in the feedback path. Comb offers control over the cutoff frequency and resonance, which can be driven into self-oscillation. An incredibly short, tuned delay line alters the character of the input by imposing harmonic peaks on the source. Subtle settings can thicken timbres, reminiscent of phaser-like effects, whilst more extreme settings can generate shimmering string sounds from white noise or tear your waveform to shreds.
