Adam Audio A8X

The Adam A8X Active Studio Monitor (Single) features a precision X-ART tweeter, a frequency response of 38Hz-50kHz and a maximum sound pressure level of 120dB per pair. The A8X features power and radiation characteristics that allow it to be used as a nearfield or midfield monitor. Offering a transparent reproduction of higher frequencies, clear mids and an excellent transient response, this monitor features extra-large, front-positioned bass reflex ports that are perfectly matched with the bass/midrange driver.

The A8X plays very low registers with a powerful punch, and the hugely accurate precision. The 150W PWM amplifier for the midrange speakers work in cooperation with the 50W A/B tweeter amp to generate impressive maximum sound pressure levels of 120dB per pair at 1m. The X-ART tweeter allows longer operation with fewer signs of fatigue with an advanced dynamic range due to acoustically effective diaphragm surface. The air velocity ratio of 4:1 lends to a direct, fast response in the high-range even with complex transients.
