The XONE:96 is a premium professional 6+2 channel DJ mixer featuring a dual 32-bit USB soundcard and Traktor Scratch certification. It combines the warm, unparalleled sound of the classic Xone:92 club mixer – highly regarded by countless DJs – with modern, upgraded technology. As a flagship DJ mixer, the XONE:96 offers an extensive range of connectivity options. In addition to traditional audio sources such as CD players, turntables, and laptops, it also supports the integration of synthesizers, drum machines, Xone:K2, controllers, or guitar effect pedals. Like the Xone:92, the XONE:96 excels with its precise and well-designed 4-band EQ, two dedicated FX sends, and the legendary dual Xone:VCF-Filter, celebrated for its distinctive sound. Furthermore, the Crunch control allows users to enrich the output signal with harmonic distortion. Two independent headphone sections enable flexible monitoring, while the built-in innoFADER crossfader meets the highest standards – especially among scratch enthusiasts.
The Xone:96 features two independent USB ports with six stereo inputs and outputs, providing various routing options. State-of-the-art 96kHz / 32-bit processing ensures the highest audio quality between laptops and the analogue engine. Additionally, thanks to Traktor Scratch certification, the Xone sound card supports DVS control of Native Instruments' TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2 DJ software.
With the Xone:96, Allen & Heath has refined the classic design of the legendary Xone VCF filter while retaining its distinctive sonic signature. In addition to the HPF, BPF, LPF, resonance and frequency sweep layouts, there is CRUNCH, a controlled harmonic distortion that is switched before the filters. The Allen & Heath allows you to route all six main channels to one of the two filters.
The club mixer features two independent headphone sections. Combined with the dual soundcard, these enable back-to-back performances and smooth set transitions. Dedicated booth outputs with 3-band EQ set the stage for perfect monitor system tuning.

Allen & Heath XONE:96I was a bit unsure about buying the 96 but I’m delighted with it. Really clean and open sound. The summing of channels is really pleasing, it feels like there is loads of space in the mix. The (apparently new since the 92) phono preamps are brilliant, hardly any difference between phono and line gains. Sound quality is my most important requirement, I’d been looking at more expensive rotary mixers at the same time.
I play mainly vinyl but also want to incorporate some digital music via Traktor DVS. There was no set up for Traktor, I just plugged in my laptop, turned the input selector to USB1 and it worked. 👍🏻 Nuff said.
I don’t have any effects units at the moment to comment on the send/returns but a nice surprise has been the Crunch effect. When I first heard it I thought it sounded very ‘Main Stage Techno’ which isn’t my thing, but it has a really pleasing effect on a wide range of sounds.
Having used only digital mixers before this mixer is just different the sounds is so warm and rich and I have been struggling to put it down since I got it would highly recommend purchasing this mixer if your looking quality and connectivity.

Excellent sound quality, plenty of features (built in dual soundcard), lots of inputs and outputs and easy of use (professional users mostly) Highly recommended!
