What you pay is what you get. Or is it?
For a pedal this cheap it has a pretty impressive array of possible sounds. It takes a while to get used to the controls. As with many of these pedals if you go in blind and not take the time to fine tune the settings it will give you freaky but ultimately unusable sounds 80% of the time. But patience is rewarded. Especially the mixing possibility between dry and effect sound will help out.
Havent yet tried an expression pedal, but based on yt videos for this money it makes for an exeptionally versatile pedal.
If your planning to use it extensively at rehearsals and gigs you might want to consider buying a backup one, cause the price unfortunately also reflects used materials quality.
Although this pedal is meant for bass, I use this synth on guitar and keyboards, and the results are pretty good. I tend not to go for this behringer kind of products because the plastic parts dont withstand much, but so far so good. I dont like the tiny knobs, and that makes it a little difficult to handle on stage.
Sounds very good is saw and wave modes, providing wide range of tones and pitches, but there is no significant difference in most other modes. Very good starting pedal to play with and find what you want from bass synth.
Becomes more handy with additional expression pedal, because the knobs are pretty small and it may be hard to manipulate them during live playing.
