Denise Audio Motion Filter is a creative auto-filter plug-in for producers, mixing engineers and sound designers who want to bring static sounds to life. The plug-in is based on the concept of the cult plug-in The Sweeper and expands upon it with modern filter modulation, clean DSP sound and a fast workflow.
Whether it’s subtle movement, rhythmic filter sweeps, sidechain-controlled sweeps or extreme sound transformations: Motion Filter makes mixes more lively, dynamic and exciting.
In Sweeper Mode, the filter movement follows the dynamics of your signal. Loops, drums, percussion and synths thus react organically to their own peaks and transients.
LFO Mode generates repeatable filter movements using various waveforms. The movement can be synchronised to the host tempo and is ideal for rhythmic sweeps, pumping patterns and cinematic filter sweeps.
Using the start and end frequencies, you can precisely define the range in which the filter operates. Dynamic Resonance adds extra movement, whilst Filter Flip reverses the direction of the filter sweep.
Via the Sidechain Input, Motion Filter can be controlled by an external source such as a kick drum. This allows pads, synths, basslines or entire mix elements to be animated rhythmically.
The Nyquist-corrected filter architecture ensures a clean, precise response across the entire frequency spectrum. With filter types such as low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch, as well as slope rates of up to 96 dB/octave, Motion Filter can be used for both musical and surgical applications.
