The Fame Handpan Three D-Minor Carbon Steel Bronze is a handmade steel handpan with a carbon steel bron ze finish in D minor tuning. It has ten tones in thefrequency 440 Hz and produces a balanced and powerful tone. In contrast to the models "One" and "Two" the Finish of the Three Hand pan has a matt finish in a bronze colour. This makes the Fame Handpan Three especially suitable for fast and percussive playing as its sustain (reverberation) is a little less pronounced than the two sister models. furthermore it has an additional high C5 in the treble compared to the model "One" so that a greater variety is possible when playing with multi-tone sounds (chords).
The Fame Handpan is played with the fingers by striking the differently tuned playing surfaces. The diameter of the Fame Handpan is 22" (54 cm), so it can be played comfortably on the lap, also a practical tripod stand is included. The D Kurd tuning of the Handpan Three by Fame comes with the following tones: D/A/Bb/C/D/E/F/G/A/C. The meditative, soothing tone can be used for therapy purposes as well as meditation or street music. A padded backpack bag for the Fame Handpan is included.
Like all Fame Handpans every Handpan Three is checked for workmanship and sound quality before delivery and finally provided with our quality seal.
Since these are instruments with a high percentage of handwork, slight color deviations compared to the product image are possible.

The central keynote of Handpans is in the middle, around it the chorus of sound fields is arranged in a circle. The individual playing surfaces are under compressive stress, these are tuned in 440 Hz in elaborate manual work. If the sound fields are now briefly struck by hand, the entire handpan is set in vibration and a linear, clear tone with singing sustain is produced.
The technique to play a handpan is comparatively simple to learn: The playing surface is struck briefly with the fingertip, the faster the hand is then pulled away, the more beautiful the resulting tone.
Handpans are sound structures made of steel, which are manufactured by hand. The clear, flowing sound with a calming effect is becoming more and more popular. A special feature of the Handpan is that the tones harmonize with each other completely. It does not matter which tones are played at the same time, the sound is always harmonious. Therefore, the Fame Handpan Three D Kurd is particularly suitable for beginners, because already after a few minutes learning success sets in and you can enjoy the meditative character.
