Like its early 1960s role model, the Fender 1960s Precision Bass Heavy Relic RW Black features a tried-and-tested basic construction consisting of an alder body and a neck made from quarter-sawn maple. The former has authentic contours for the familiar ergonomic playing position of the P-Bass, while the quadruple bolt-on neck with its '60s P-Bass Oval C neck profile provides a tried-and-tested feel for the fretting hand on the solid rosewood fingerboard with 20 vintage frets.
'59 Precision Bass Split-Coil & Vintage Hardware
Hidden under the front chrome cover of the Fender 1960s Precision Bass Heavy Relic RW Black is a Fender '59 Precision Bass split-coil hand-wound in the FenderCustom store, which gives the instrument its amazingly versatile sound. The underlying passive electronics have the usual straightforward design and provide a volume control to determine the output volume as well as an additional treble control. The Fender 1960s Precision Bass Heavy Relic RW Black is completed by a 4-saddle Vintage-Style bridge with matching cover and four vintage-style tuners with artificial signs of ageing.
