The alder body is paired with a bolt-on maple neck featuring a modern "C" profile for comfortable playability. The maple fingerboard has 20 medium jumbo frets and a 9.5" radius, allowing crisp bass lines or complex licks to be played with ease. A solid 4-saddle HiMass bridge enhances sustain and string action, while four open-gear tuners provide reliable tuning stability. The Player II Modified P-Bass offers remarkable tonal flexibility. The Modified Precision Bass split-coil in the middle position delivers rich depth, pronounced mids and punchy directness. In the bridge position, a Noiseless Jazz Bass single coil adds further sonic possibilities alongside the split coil. At the heart of the bass is an active preamp with 3-band tonecontrol and additional passive treble control, unlocking a wide range of classic and modern tones. An active/passive switch allows the preamp to be bypassed when desired, giving full control over the instrument's dynamic response and versatility.
