16 Fatar pads for drums, melodies and chords

At the center are 16 RGB illuminated, polyphonic Fatar pads. They react dynamically to playing and are suitable for finger drumming, melodies, chord triggers or playing in sequences. Thanks to the color-coded display, patterns, sounds and functions remain clear at all times.

The pads adapt intelligently to the respective application. When beatmaking, Drum patterns can be played in directly, while scales or chord structures can be used for melodic parts.

Smart Scale and Smart Chords for quick ideas

With Smart Scale and Smart Chords, the Motion 16 offers practical tools for creative songwriting. Scales are automatically assigned to the pads so that melodies can be played intuitively. In addition, more than 30 well-known chord sequences are available, which can be called up immediately and help when developing new songs.

Especially when producing sketches or improvised jamming, harmonic ideas quickly emerge without the need for complex fingering patterns or theoretical knowledge.

Direct control over sounds and effects

Nine touch-sensitive, illuminated encoders allow precise real-time control of parameters. Instruments, effects or mixer functions can be adjusted immediately, while the integrated color display provides a visual Feedback at all times.

An additional touch strip expands the performance possibilities. This allows modulations, Pitch bends or effect parameters to be controlled smoothly. This provides a very direct playing feel, especially for Live performances or sound design.

Fast workflow during production

A central function is the Add button. This allows virtual instruments, audio tracks or effects to be added to the session immediately. Together with the direct timeline navigation, the Motion 16 becomes a compact control center for recording, arranging and editing.

Many production steps that are normally carried out using a mouse and keyboard can be performed directly via the controller. This speeds up the workflow and maintains creative energy during production.
