With the Sound Desk Pro, Glorious presents another range of professional studio desks in three colours: black, white and walnut. The continuous worktop provides space for a screen and studio monitors, whilst two rack modules, each with 3U capacity, can accommodate equipment such as converters, large audio interfaces or effects processors. There is also space between the rack modules for desktop devices such as small interfaces, drum machines or synthesisers. The main worktop is large enough to accommodate additional equipment, a laptop, a mouse and a keyboard.
Beneath this is a pull-out shelf spanning the full width of the desk, with a load capacity of up to 12.5kg, meaning it can also accommodate heavier 88-key master keyboards or multiple synthesisers. Three cable grommets at the rear of the tabletop help you organise the cabling for your equipment.
With this model range too, Glorious has focused not only on a well-thought-out, practical design, but also on high-quality manufacturing and an elegant high-gloss finish. The Sound Desk Pro comes in two packages and can be assembled in just a few steps.
Please note: for deliveries outside Germany, a bulky goods delivery must be arranged. The flat-rate delivery charges do not apply to these. Please contact our export team for detailed information on delivery costs.
Glorious Sound Desk Pro Black...I use a Komplete Kontrol S61 and the shelf doesn’t pull out far enough to see the screens. So having spent three hours building it I absolutely love the quality but am having to compromise and put pc keyboard and mouse on the pull out and piano keyboard on the top. The shelf has a support strut on the bottom as well so when you pull it out you need the chair really quite low (with pull out shelf in default position) or you bang your knees.
I totally accept that I should have paid closer attention to the measurements before ordering but I had assumed a keyboard shelf would pull out far enough to reach the buttons at the top Of the keyboard - the S61 is hardly outsized!
Other than this, however, I can’t fault this desk. Solid with clear build instructions and it really does look gorgeous. Very clever wire tidy holes as well.
And it was delivered quickly and correctly to the U.K. which is especially impressive in these challenging times.
It's a gorgeous looking desk that does exactly what it is supposed to do, at a decent price. No regrets with the purchase.
What matters though, apart from the desk itself, it how was the delivery ? Was it packed well ? Were all parts included ?
Delivery, from the moment of order in the UK, to arrival took less than 48 hours. I ordered on a Monday, and the items had arrived from Germany on the Wednesday. I was shocked it was so quick. Delivery time was one thing I was concerned about. I need not have worried one bit.
I unpacked and checked all contents. Everything was there.
More importantly, the 2 boxes this came in were well packed and padded. It is almost as they anticipated some knocks in transit, because everything was double wrapped in cardboard. Good work !
This was more than just a desk order for me...it was a test of ordering from DV247 in Europe and they passed with flying colours. Danke !
My dv247 order never arrived so I ended up buying the desk elsewhere. However, might as well chirp in on the product here.
The desk is decent size and sturdy. Not the simplest thing in the world to put together, but I had no issue doing it on my own.
I’m not in love with the design on the drawer-shelf though. They added a thick wooden piece under the drawer to stop it from sagging. This eats up valuable space for your knees. They used a metal strip under the main desk surface for the same purpose. Much thinner and sturdier. Should’ve done the same for the shelf. With my Nord electro I can still see sagging even when not played.
Secondly, the shelf mechanism is pants. The rails are not that great. Just wobbly and loose. One side often stops before the other and I’m a bit worried putting weight on it when pulled out to play.
Also some issues with finish quality on edges and corners.
