The introduction of the Kemper Profiling Technology led to a small revolution and caused for quite a bit of commotion in the guitar scene. Nowadays this device can be found in numerous studios and live setups. But not everyone is a fan of the Lunchbox format.
The Kemper Rack is the same great amp emulator and modeller as the original Kemper Profiling Amplifier. Similar to the other models of the Profiler Series, with the Profiler Rack you are not limited to preset models. The Kemper Rack uses unique measuring technology and clever algorithms to capture the DNA and soul of any amplifier. The resulting profile sounds just as realistic and expressive as the original.
The possibilities of the Kemper Amps are practically endless. If you find an awesome sound from another amplifier during a recording session for example, the Kemper can hold on to it so you can quickly and accurately reproduce it again in the future for a live performance and take it with you wherever you go. You can also later edit the sound within the amplifier, be it the Power Sag of the amp or even the Bias value of the tubes. Even the speaker cabinet of the "profiled" combo or stack can manipulated and changed.
This 19" variation of the Profiler makes it much more tour friendly while the general layout remained unchanged. The Profiler Rack is equipped with a new 600 Watt Class-D amplifier (300W @ 16 Ohm) for the direct connection to speakers. It is irrelevant if it is connected to a guitar cabinet or monitor speakers. The CabDriver mode adjusts the sound directly to the guitar cabinet, without needing to be reconfigured.
Right out of the box, the Kemper Profiler Rack has a ton of profiled amps ready to play. Just connect the Profiler Rack to your sound system or recording rig, and you're set. And even if you don't have a collection of amps to profile, there are hundreds of profiled amplifiers available online, and the community of Kemper profilers is growing every day.

Capabilities
You can upload your IR choose any of the possible amplifiers adjust the equalizer and add different effects such as distortion, phaser, chorus, etc.
The Kemper is a wonderful example of brilliant German engineering.
Have been using this for about a month and the first thing that surprised me, was this units weight. Literally the manual weights almost the same as Kemper. Despite of that, it feels well made and sturdy.
Sound wise it does more than I expected. I was really surprised about the feel and the ease of use. This is truly a plug-and-play device and getting great sounds is super easy. You'll just have to remember that Kemper is only as good as the profiles you load in, but with good profiles it is unbelievable.
However there are something missing on the sound and I think it is the final 5% that real amps bring to the table. Still I'm not going to miss it, just because I can lay any guitar sound I want, super fast, saving valuable hours and no one is going to notice that I used Kemper on my guitars and bass.
Great piece of kit that I recommend highly.
